Ride Report
The ride got off to a pleasant start. It was a beeeeautiful day as we met under the Hawthorne bridge. We did indeed meander a little bit, but unfortunately, it did not last. Our fearless ride leader, representing Momentum magazine (sorry I did not get your name) took a spill. Murphy’s law dictated that a bungee would come loose from his front rack, which jammed in his front wheel. I did not see it happen, but I think he went endo. The front fork was toast, and the paramedics came to help out. He had a helmet, so that part was good; his shoulder seems to be messed up. He went to the hospital to have it checked out. He’s from Vancouver, B.C., so his bills are covered hopefully, anyway.

Bummer, it would have been a very nice meander around the bridges otherwise. Thanks, Momentum, for showing up, and for the great magazine.
