Can we top that in inner SE?

We’ve been holding our BikePortland Get Togethers since February now, as a chance to get to know the issues in far-flung parts of the city and connect our readers offline.

Every month we get requests to hold one in inner Southeast. We’re still recovering from Pedalpalooza and the non-stop month of June, and we thought we’d put on July’s event close to home — literally right around the corner from our office.

Please join us in two weeks, on Thursday, July 23rd from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, at the Green Dragon Bistro and Brewpub (928 SE 9th Ave).

We’ll have a special guest or two on hand to update the crew on current hot topics, and we may stage a debate, but this will primarily be a chance for readers to meet each other outside the impersonal atmosphere of post comments. We’ll bring nametags, and look forward to the lively discussions.

Hey Eastside riders – a way to spark attendance might be to tell folks on your ride who might be interested. I’m thinking of carrying some slips with info I can hand to other riders when appropriate.

It would be kind of cool I think if I were a new rider to be invited to the “inner circle.”

Even if they don’t attend, maybe they’ll check out bikeportland!
