Bicycle Boulevard Tour
South Park blocks outside PSU Smith Memorial Student Union, SW Harrison St and Harrison St, Washington
2:00pm – 5:00pm, ends at BTA office: 233 NW 5th Ave
Tour SE Portland’s Bicycle Boulevards and see the low traffic, family friendly routes through the neighborhood. We will tour various traffic calming and reduction features that make these streets ideal for cycling. Ride is free, flat and family friendly. Please wear a helmet!

Mocktails off the I-5 Bridge
Vancouver, NW end of the path off the I-5 bridge
3:30pm – 6:00pm
Commuter social serving virgin cocktails, finger food, advice, brochures & maps to bicyclists.

Zine Reading By Bike
PSU Smith Memorial Student Union, South Park, SW Park Ave and Montgomery St (Park Blocks)
6:00pm – 7:30pm
Local zinesters will read from their self-published works on the topic of being car free. From bicycles to buses and other modes in between. Come along on an early evening bike ride-reading. Ride will end at Car Free Square Dance in chinatown.Free!

BikeStation Portland
Market Street Pub, 1526 S.W. 10th Take Trimet (Outside on patio. Bike parking on site. Near to Carfree Conference site.)
6:00pm – 7:00pm
Join Todd Boulanger, Chairman of Bikestation for a few beverages to discuss the status of large scale secure bike parking in Portland and the US. (How to get one for your city!) Bikestation is the USAs bike parking network with soon to be 8 bike parking hubs: Seattle, San Francisco, Berkeley, Palo Alto, Santa Barbara, Long Beach, Tempe, and DC.

Unicycle Polo

6:30pm, ’till darkness do us part
Ride a unicycle? want to attack other unicyclers with a stick? especially other unicyclers who are about to take your ball? Well, brother, have I got the event for you!
Bring your uni. Bring your body armor and helmet. The Bastards will supply mallets, balls, and minor first aid.
Guaranteed to be a good time! We also like people who like to watch.

Women on Bikes — Back in the Saddle
Community Cycling Center, 1700 NE Alberta St
6:30pm – 8:00pm
A review of gear, laws, riding skills, routes, basic bike upkeep and flat tire repair.

Square Dance Street Party
NW Davis St and 3rd Ave
7:00pm
Party featuring old time square dancing in the street to close out the Towards Carfree Cities Conference!

4th Annual Bar-Hoppin’ by Bicycle Birthday Bash
Sandy Hut, NE 15th Ave and Sandy Blvd
7:00pm, Meet at 7, ride shortly thereafterward.
Kinda like last year but rowdier. A tour of seedy dive bars and strippin’ clubs. All will be close in SE or NE ish, maybe downtown. Meet, drink, bike, bully on some cars, and repeat. Not for the lighthearted. Helmets strongly encouraged.

Brew-HaHa!
Concordia Ale House, 3276 NE Killingsworth St, Portland (West of Hot Lips)
7:30pm, arrive early for a pint, we ride @ 8pm
Brew-haha! A Pub Crawl and Coloring contest. Win beer, stickers, and bike paraphernalia! Come color, drink beer, and be merry!

Mini-Bike Steeple Chase
Washington Park, 4100 SW Canyon Rd (the toke-a-motive or choo-choo train)
9:00pm, After party at 10:00pm
The third annual Mini-Bike Steeple Chase race. Meet at the choo-choo train (AKA Toke-a-motive), near the elevators, at the top of the hill at 9:00PM for a race through the dark paths of Washington Park–choosing only one illuminated by glow sticks. 16″ (or less) wheels only. Expect hills. Expect to get lost. Prizes and trophy. After party at Pirate Island at 10:00PM.

Bike-In Film at Plan B Cafe

Dead Baby Bikes of Seattle has a film fest that is traveling to Portland tonight. see a bunch of crazy bike films by cyclists, for cyclists, with a large dose of hell yea.
