Job Description: One Million Bicycles National Coordinators
Title: National Coordinator: Rallies
Reports to: Executive Director: Joe Kurmaskie

Job purpose:
To plan, coordinate, oversee and monitor progress of upwards of 300 rallies in 50 states and Washington DC.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

— Provide info and guidance to interns who will maintain and develop a computerised rally database.
— Participate in the planning of a rally template/blueprint and carry out marketing this blueprint to securing agreements with organizations for 300 rallies in cities across America.
— Develop timelines, budgets, benchmarks for these rallies and follow up with each group to see that everything is in place.
— Respond to and follow up with inquiries for rallies by email post, telephone, and personal visits.
— Identify additional activities for successful rallies.
— Monitor and report on trouble spot rally securement and provide suggestions, strategies for firming these cities up.
— Oversee and manage rally interns and volunteers.
— Attend meetings with other coordinator and director as needed.
— Write and edit press releases connected to rallies.
— Attend training and to develop relevant knowledge and skills.

Territory: USA
Job Location: Portland, Oregon. Telecommute applicants: possible.
Hours/salary range: Partime $400-$450 weekly, 20-25 hour work week. Hours: Flexible
Starting Date: August 08. Expanding to fulltime closer to event date $800 weekly.(Projected: August 08 -Dec. 08 partime , Jan 09- Jan 10 fulltime).
