Let’s talk bikes: Social Hour is tomorrow

[Note: Be forewarned, bike parking is very scarce at Roots Brewing (hopefully that will change soon).]
I hope some of you will join us for drinks and conversation at the BikePortland Social Hour coming to Roots Brewing (SE 7th and Hawthorne) tomorrow (Friday) from 6-7:00ish.
Roots co-owner Craig Nichols has kindly reserved some tables for us (and space for our bags, rain gear, helmets, etc..) and City Council candidate Jim Middaugh is all set to be there.
By the way, Jim has racked up some major endorsements recently. Some say there’s a good chance he’ll be one of our future commissioners and this will be a great opportunity to meet him in a relaxed setting. Then, once you’ve met him, you can call yourself an official member of the all-powerful “bike lobby”.
But politics aside, feel free to come and chat about whatever’s on your mind — whether that’s helmet laws, bike boulevards, the role of Jesus in bike advocacy, etc…
Everyone is welcome to stop by and I look forward to meeting you. Remember, if you want to remain anonymous, feel free to write your screen name on your name tag!
NOTE: We love your comments and work hard to ensure they are productive, considerate, and welcoming of all perspectives. Disagreements are encouraged, but only if done with tact and respect. If you see a mean or inappropriate comment, please contact us and we'll take a look at it right away. Also, if you comment frequently, please consider holding your thoughts so that others can step forward. Thank you — Jonathan
