Job Description
Are you familiar with outdoor gear or footwear?
Do you know how to sew or resole shoes?
Have you ever made or repaired your own outdoor gear or shoes?

We are accepting resumes for one part time position (30-32 hrs wk), with potential for more hours in the future.
Hourly wage (depends on experience).
Comfortable, Relaxed, Interesting work environment.

We are currently hiring for one position.

General Qualities we are looking for:

    1.Good Customer Service Skills over the phone and in person. Good hand writing.
    2.Ability to make change and use a credit card machine.
    3.Reliable
    4.Excited to learn new skills.
    5.Keen eye for detail.
    6.Must be a self starter and committed to high quality work.
    7.Drug Free work environment
    8.Comfortable with other simple tasks (vacuuming, sweeping, washing windows, etc.)

Sewing Qualities we are looking for:

    1.Ability to perform sewing repairs, modifications, and alterations on high end outerwear, tents, backpacks, sleeping bags, drysuits, etc…
    2.Must know how to repair/ replace zippers on the above listed items. (e.g. Replace full zipper on Gore-Tex jacket in less than one hour, like new)
    3.Ability to visualize three dimensionally. (e.g. ability to deconstruct and reconstruct intricately constructed items while making repairs or modifications to items)
    4.Experience with: industrial sewing machines (needle feed, walking foot, bar tacker, serger etc.)

Shoe Repair Skills/ Qualities we are looking for:

    1.Ability to perform shoe repairs, modifications, and alterations on high end outdoor footwear including rock climbing shoes, hiking & mountaineering boots.
    2.Must know how to repair/ replace soles, stitching, and hardware on footwear.
    3.Experience with: industrial shoe repair machines (finisher, long arm patcher, presses, etc.)
    4.Ability to visualize three dimensionally. (e.g. ability to deconstruct and reconstruct intricately constructed items while making repairs or modifications to items)
