Stolen Kona Cinder Cone

Buffered Bike Lane with a bike symbol and arrow pointing forward

Beautiful Red Kona Mountain Bike with disc brakes. Front suspension only. Knobby mountain tires. Bought it from a place called Moutain Pedaler, there is a sticker that says that on the down tube. There is a water bottle holder attached on the down tube as well. Pretty new bike, got it last year (it’s a 2006)so it doesn’t have too much wear. Had a lot of mud splattered all over it from a previous ride.

Buffered Bike Lane with a bike symbol and arrow pointing forward

The other day an email came in from a reader at a local company who was working with his admin department to develop benefits for bike commuters.

He figured since his company gave perks for using TriMet or carpooling, bicyclists shouldn’t be left out.

I forwarded his message to Michellle Poyourow at the BTA and she sent back a great list of ideas “off the top of her head” (wow).

I thought others might find the information helpful, so here’s the list…

Stolen Schwinn Mesa GS

The bike has a rack in the back, a water bottle holder, and attachments for a headlight and a tire pump. It was borrowed by a friend who used my cable lock instead of my u-lock, thus allowing the bike to be stolen. It was stolen between 1pm and 11pm on Saturday July 21. If you have any information, please contact me! I will give a $50 reward if it is found.

Sponsored by the Community Exchange Cycle Touring Club

Ever wanted to ride to the highest points in Portland but were afraid to try? Then this is the ride for you. No rider will be left behind and there is no shame in dismounting and walking if the going gets too tough. Of course, if you like climbing up hills a bit quicker, you can always go to the top, ride back down, and climb it again until the rest of us get there!

The first 4 miles will feel like they never end but the remaining 20 miles feature gently rolling hills and beautiful scenery followed by
an exhilarating ride down Germantown Rd, making those first 4 miles well worth the effort.

Please join us this Sunday 7/29/2007 for a ride that takes us up to Council Crest and out along Skyline Blvd as we circle Forest Park. Bragging rights awarded to all who complete the ride. For those more faint of heart, there will be an easy paced ECT ride scheduled for the same day. Details on that ride will be posted later this week.
