Sweet! Tonkin and Wicks are two of my very favorites.

In fact, I just referenced Tonkin as one of my \”local heroes\”… after everything that went down in the Tour today I\’ve come to conclusion to (as Austin from Sweetpea Bicycles put it) \”but our heroes local\”.

Way to go, Tonkin! James Brown already claimed the title in show biz, but you’re the “Hardest Working Man in the Bike Business” and it’s wonderful to see you continuing to thrive at this national level. Such success couldn’t happen to a more deserving fellow…congratulations!

And a big congratulations to Barry Wicks & all of the other racers with local/regional ties, too! You all make our city proud.
