Last week, a group of Zoobombers met with with Portland’s art rack coordinator and Transportation Options manager Linda Ginenthal in a conference room at PDOT headquarters.
The meeting was called to garner feedback from Ginenthal on potential designs (see below) and locations for a new Zoobomb bike rack. Next week, Ginenthal will meet with Commissioner Sam’s office and a rep from the Regional Arts and Culture Council (RACC) to make the final decision.
I wish I could have seen the look on the security guard’s face when these guys showed up with their mini-bikes and said, “Hi, we’re from Zoobomb.”

Man, I love this town.
My vote is for Mykle’s “Great Staple.” Just a huge, blue, Portland bike rack, on a big masonary plinth, like a monument.
There have been so many creative and exciting ideas thrown around it’s hard to keep track.
Rock on, Portland. Rock on, Zoobomb.

rack on!
I kind of like the (Thunder?) Dome. Its like a subversive Epcot center. You could also lock up to the outside of it, which would be cool.
Those Zoobombers are nothing but trouble! Just the other week one tried to run me over! I say we talk to the city about a ban on them!
