A quick stop at the BTA Open House

BTA's new office

[The reception area]

The BTA has some new digs (1979 SW 5th Avenue) and they had a little office-warming party last night to make it official. I was able to make a quick visit to the open house to check things out.

It was great to see their new place all cleaned up. Last time I was there things weren’t looking so hot. Now they’ve got nice new carpets and desks and the place is very professional and business-like.

The party was well-attended by a bevy of advocates and transportation bigwigs. I didn’t stay long because I was on my way to a cyclocross clinic (and besides, I was fully spandexed up).

While I was there I got a glimpse of their brand new T-shirts. The’ve got a new design (in red and dark blue) with reflective words and they’ve also got a new shirt for the ladies (or guys I guess).

It’s great to see the BTA crew all settled into their new, roomy office after such a long, hard search. Their old space was way too cramped.

Here’s another scene from the open house (below) that shows a very cool mural on the wall in the background.

Next time you’re in the neighborhood, stop by and say hi. I’m sure they’d be glad to see you.
