Metal Cowboy wheels into Wordstock

North Portland resident and author Joe “Metal Cowboy” Kurmaskie will be presenting from his latest book at the Wordstock Festival this weekend. Back in November, I posted about Joe’s cross-country bike ride with this two sons, Quinn (7) and Enzo (5). His book based on the ride is called Momentum Is Your Friend: The Metal Cowboy And His Pint-Sized Posse Take On America, and he’ll be reading from it at Wordstock this Saturday at 10AM.

I asked Joe what we can expect at his presentation:

“It will be with slides and the rig and everything from the cross country trip…It’ll be the first really big Portland event I’m doing with all new material (which went over huge in Seattle at REI last month)… It will definitely be the most bike-centric presentation at Wordstock!”

Sounds like fun. Here’s the Wordstock website for all the details. Also check out Joe’s home page MetalCowboy.com.
