I’m happy to share these images of the first-ever Sprockettes Calendar! The Sprockettes are Portland’s very own mini-bike dance troupe (check out my photos of them).
They’ve performed all over Portland and next year they’re looking to spread their message of fun feminism through funky dance moves outside our borders. You can help with their big plans by buying a calendar (or two). They’re just $7 (plus shipping) and they won’t last long!
The calendars are still at the printers, and will be available for purchase on this site as soon as they’re ready. They’ll also be for sale at the upcoming BikeCraft Faire & Shift Winter Social on December 7th. So make sure your stop by…I’m sure they’d be happy to autograph it for you!
Thanks for reading.

Buy a calendar so the sprockettes can buy a car.
Yes, Brandy, we have plans for the money we will make. First, we want to build a stereo system on a bike trailer so that we can have a mobile dance party and never be without sound.
Second, yeah, we want to buy a tour vehicle. A bus. A bus which will RUN ON STRAIGHT VEGETABLE OIL.
And, once again, friend, if you would like to actually engage in an in-person dialogue with the Sprockettes, we would be more than happy to. My email address is nickeyroboriseupnet. Feel free to send me a note.
I apologize, I typed my email and it came out weird. It’s nickeyrobo-at-riseup-dot-net.
Hey Brandy, its me again, the sprockette that invited you to a fun filled day of riding on mini bikes with me. Unfortunatly you declined. Im sure you dont care at all about what we think, (otherwise youd show up to actually talk to us), but it seems weird that you care enough about what we do to be the first one to comment on what weve got going on. I really feel like if you are the feminist you claim to be you would behave a little more progressivly about your opinions, you know, the things you believe in, the things that drive you. I strongly suggest you meet up with one or all of us to finally get real, or stop bashing us online. I really feel like thats something called backpedaling. And we dont like that, do we? thanks girl. I hope to talk soon.
