Stolen From: It was taken from the front of my office building at 1400 SW 5th Street; the building is known as the "5th Avenue Building".
Neighborhood: Downtown
Owner: Emily Kemper

Reward: $50
Description: My bike was stolen from in front of my office building yesterday. I had the
front tire locked up with a U-lock to the bike rack. It was situated directly
in front of the windows of a Kinko's, across the street from a bus stop, and
right in front of the building's entrance. It was there when I went outside
to buy a cookie at 3:40, but gone when I came out to go home at 5:40. I
do not have quick release tires, so the person had to have taken at least a
few minutes to unscrew the front fork from the front wheel, as well as
disengage the fender from the wheel, because that was gone as well. The
only thing I have left is my U-lock and front wheel.
The bike itself cost roughly $620, but with accessories that I put on it
myself, it was worth at least $750. It is a Scott brand "Sub 20" Small bike,
dark grey with gold lettering, sold only at REI. It has 700 cc tires, disc
brakes, fenders, and a back rack. It also has small lightning-shaped
reflectors that I put on the front forks. REI has been notified to keep an
eye out for anyone trying to buy a front tire for this style bike as they are the only ones that sell this brand.
