I got my December issue of Bicycle Retailer and Industry News yesterday. Each time it comes the first thing I do is make a quick scan for any Portland-specific news.
This month it seemed like Portland was on every other page…so I figured I’d do a quick round-up. The stories aren’t available online and it’s an industry-only publication so I’ve included a brief synopsis for each one:
Last week, a group of Zoobombers met with with Portland’s art rack coordinator and Transportation Options manager Linda Ginenthal in a conference room at PDOT headquarters.
The meeting was called to garner feedback from Ginenthal on potential designs (see below) and locations for a new Zoobomb bike rack. Next week, Ginenthal will meet with Commissioner Sam’s office and a rep from the Regional Arts and Culture Council (RACC) to make the final decision.
A group of Portland cyclists have created a new safety information card as part of a campaign to educate motorists about bicycles and increase traffic safety. The new cards will debut tomorrow night at BikeCraft.
