Like we’ve been saying all week, a little bit of snow isn’t enough to stop the wheels of Portland’s bike-lovers. Even though we’re not expected to see much in the way of thawing, there are still some events worth considering.
You’ll note a new “Featured Event” section (below). That spot is reserved for awesome local companies who pay us a bit of cash to help promote their events. It’s called advertising and it’s how we survive. Support the companies who support BikePortland and you’ll be our favorite reader!
Have a great weekend and please be cautious out there. Snow is fun and fine but ice can break your spine (just made that up, sorry).

Rivelo hosts their annual holiday party on Saturday, starting at 1 pm. At the foot of the Tilikum Crossing, across the Orange line from the Railroad Museum, it promises to be both a low key, and properly niche little shindig. Between the curated vintage head badges and padlocks, and Rivendell bicycle culture accessories, it’s an inspiring small business that adds to our bike community; there’s even a lending library. John and Darcy manage to surround themselves with some pretty neat Portland peeps, too–you’ll see. Swing by.
I just love that pic with the human Grinch on a cruiser bike.
Made me smile – thanks BikePortland!
ALERT!! The Portland Wheelmen Christmas lights ride is cancelled due to weather. Too much frozen snow and gravel on the streets to be riding, especially in the dark! Sorreeee.
