Pedalpalooza starts tonight with the traditional Kickoff Ride leaving the South Park Blocks at 6:00 pm. For as long as I’ve cared about bicycling in Portland, Pedalpalooza has been a strong inspiration. In many ways, it’s to blame for BikePortland’s existence.

Every time I see the woman standing on the bike trailer, I’m glad my kids don’t follow BP. I’m sure it must be ok, but it doesn’t *look* sane.
Do not worry…no adults were ever hurt during a PP ride. (She had a net and foam blocks set up around her with a green screen…these items were edited out in the post production phase. 😉
