Friday, January 21st
9:00 pm: Dropout Bike Club Ride
The dropout bike club’s monthly freak bike social ride. Meet at Colonel Summers Park, SE 20th and Belmonth.
Saturday, January 22nd
8:30 am: Tree Planting By Bike
Sunnyside, Laurelhurst, Kerns & North Tabor neighborhoods are having a bicycle tree planting event. Friends of Trees is organizing this event. Meet at Sunnyside United Methodist Church, 3520 SE Yamhill St. Plenty of free food for planters.
3:00 – 6:00 pm: Winter Cycles/Nutcase Helmet Design Contest Party
Clever Cycles (908 SE Hawthorne) is hosting a party to unveil all the entries in the Nutcase Helmet Design Contest. The big winner gets a $500 gift certificate. Family friendly event. Join us!
6:00 pm: OBRA Annual Banquet
2010 was a big year for bicycle racing in Oregon. Once again, OBRA showed they are one of the top racing organizations in the country. Join them on Saturday for a look back at the season and an awards ceremony that recognizes the state’s top racers. Dinner is $25 per person and registration is available online.
Sunday, January 23rd
1:00 – 4:00 pm: Awesome Architecture Ride
This ride will check out interesting homes and buildings in the Roseway, Cully and Beaumont neighborhoods. “Who knew there’s a geodesic dome in Cully and a castle in Rose City Park?! Check out ~20 awesome homes from Beaumont to Roseway. We’ll rate the good, the bad and the ugly on this easy, slow, laid-back ride (~8 miles max).”
