More details on tonight’s Rooftop Ride

There’s an interesting ride tonight called the “Rooftop Ride.” Below is a message from the organizer that explains a bit more about what to expect:

there have been questions about the rooftop ride, so here’s the plan:

– we ride at 11 from in front of the nines hotel, 525 SW Morrison (near pioneer square on the max line).

– you can meet just before 11 outside or come earlier and enjoy the views from “departure,” which is the nines’ rooftop bar (i went up there for the first time yesterday and bought nothing and still was welcomed to walk around, see the views, feel really out of my element, etc.)

– i’ll be out in front of the nines from 10:30 – 11 to meet and greet and gather the group. we should be obvious.

– don’t ride a tallbike unless you wanna walk! a thousand apologies to my freak bike friends, but you will be walking your bike if you cannot ride under a 7 foot clearance!

– we will be riding to three different rooftop spots. the first two are 5-minute stops, the final one is where we can hang out for a while.

– byob. i suggest warm or warming liquids.

– the final rooftop destination does have shelter available! in case you were waffling about the prospect of being hundreds of feet up in this nastiness… but it’s gonna clear up. it’s gonna clear up. it’s gonna clear up. because god loves bikes.

hope to see everyone at 11!
