New features: Page Two, links, and a new view for comments

Just want to point out a few new ways to view content here on BikePortland.

As you may have noticed, I’ve started a new section called, “Page Two”. I’ve created Page Two because I come across a lot of information and I simply don’t have time to develop into larger, finished stories.

Page Two stories will be less polished, might be simply rehashed press releases, and they will sometimes be precursors to larger stories I’m working on for the Front Page.

Here’s the RSS feed for Page Two if you’d like to get the headlines delivered to your reader.

I also want to point out my (sort-of) new “Live Links”. Many of you have already noticed them running in the sidebar under “Media Mentions” and “Noteworthy Links”. Both of these lists are generated from articles I come across during my daily web browsing or from tips sent in by readers.

And finally, something brand new! Inspired by Streetsblog a while back, I now have an entire page devoted to your wonderful comments. The new Comments page lists all comments, with most recent ones at the top.

When there are several posts generating a lot of feedback simultaneously, being able to view them all in one place is a nice feature. And yes, you can also subscribe to the RSS feed for comments if you’d like.

I hope these features make the time you spend on BikePortland more enriching and enjoyable.

Stay tuned for more changes (big and small), and as always, thanks for reading.

Love the new features Jonathon. I\’m still a regular reader here, but through your RSS, so you may not be seeing my URL in your referrals (although I do link to a lot of your posts in my \”elsewhere\” section). 🙂
