This is just a selection from the many bike events going on this weekend. For more, including regular weekly or monthly events, see the Shift calendar.

Friday, October 23

2:00 - 5:30pm: Tour de Builders/Oregon Manifest
Pedal Bike Tours will lead an open-shop tour of local framebuilders. Tour includes Pereira Cycles, Vanilla Bicycles, Hufnagel Cycles, Ahearne Cycles, M.A.P. Cycles, Metrofiets and United Bicycle Institute. THIS EVENT IS SOLD OUT.

5:30: Kidical Mass
Meet at SE 34th and Taylor. Mellow pace, plenty of stops to play and snack.

Saturday, October 24

8:45am - Sunday: Bagby Hot Springs Bike Camping
Cycle Wild's last camping trip of the season [Correction: 2nd to last!] is going to be a good one. One-night overnight trek to the public hot springs in the old growth forest at Bagby. Don't forget your towel, or your rain gear.

10:00am - 5:00pm: Oregon Manifest: United Bicycle Institute Open House
Check out the new Portland UBI campus. Take a tour, participate in a mini tech clinic, or watch a framebuilding demonstration. Food, drinks, raffle! 3961 N Williams (at Shaver).

Noon - 3:00pm: Climate Action Ride
Part of the Global Day of Climate Action, spreading the word about the need to reduce carbon emissions. Many riders will have banners protesting the 12-lane CRC. Meet at SE 20th and Belmont, head to a rally at Pioneer Square, where you'll join other groups, hear speakers, and participate in art projects. More info at www.350.org

Sunday, October 25

9am - 4pm: Cross Crusade #4 - Hillsboro
Bring your kids and dogs to the Washington County Fairgrounds for more mud, more waffles, more fun.

11:00am - 4:00pm: Oregon Manifest: Family Bicycling Transportation Day
Come down to the Manifest's Bike Union at 539 NW 10th (at Hoyt) and learn about the wide (and growing) array of family biking options out there. There will be lots of information about topics from route finding to bike maintenance, and plenty of bike options to look at and even take for a spin.

4:00pm - 7:00pm: Oregon Manifest: Family Bicycling Solutions Workshop
Register in advance for this facilitated discussion. The goal is to provide politicians, advocates, and industry leaders with a comprehensive report on overcoming barriers to family bicycling and helping families who bike.

Correction - this is NOT Cycle Wild's last camping trip of the season. The last trip will be to Alder Flat on November 7-8.

(Alder Flat is a campground in the Mount Hood National Forest)

If you can come out to camp with us at Bagby, please do so! This may be the last free trip to Bagby - the Forest Service is talking about bringing in a concessionaire to manage the site.
