Join us for a monthly bike tour of Small Museums & Collections in the > Portland area. The tour is lead by Carye Bye, the director of the Bathtub Art > Museum (www.bathtubmuseum.org). > > This month's tour is on the theme Old & New. We will be touring SW > Portland, with our first stop in Lair Hill at the Contemporary Crafts > Museum (CCM). So > before the change, we'll visit and see the last exhibits and hear from > the staff about the history and future for the museum. > > And while we are over there, we might as well try out something New, > the Portland Aerial Tram while it's free on Saturdays. We'll we get to > ride in Jean or Walter? Will it feel like we are a bubble floating in > the sky? The tram takes bikes, so if all goes well we'll take our > bikes up to Pill Hill to find some collections amongst OHSU (Oregon > Health & Science University). There is a Medical Museum Collection > (http://www.ohsu.edu/library/hom/medmuseum.shtml) up at OHSU, but > unlucky for us it is not open on the weekend, nonetheless there are > some other accessible exhibits that we'll try to find. > > Tour is Free.
