Trek 2200 red road bike stolen in front of 1500 SW
First Ave., downtown (at Clay Ave.) sometime between
1:30 and 4:30pm. Bike had black lettering, a silver
bike computer, clipless racing pedals, and an REI
pouch under the seat. It also had the attachment for
my kid’s trail-a-bike on the seatpost. The end caps
on the handles were different colors: one was black
and one was silver with a B (from the Bike Gallery).
It had a purple Bike Gallery sticker on it, and a
silver cage (for water bottles). It is a 56cm size
bike.

My house was burglarized yesterday. Along with my laptop, CDs, and library
book (Wha?) they ripped off my newly acquired Nishiki Olympiad. THe beauty
was made in the 70s and was a stunning grey/silver with bright white
fenders. I’m 6’3″ so the frame was tall tall tall. The seat came to most
people’s chests. Unfortunately I can’t remember the exact frame size but
I’ll remember soon. THe handlebars weren’t dropped but more of a typical
commuter style so the rider sat upright. It was a ten-speed and had racing
stripe-type designs up and down the seat tube. Basically it’s a beautiful
greyish bike with fading white and pink highlights.

Purchased at Vancouver Cyclery March 13, 2006

The bike was locked up. The cable lock was cut and the bike was stolen
outside Firebird Arts and Music 17111 NE Glisan.

This bike is primary transportation along with the Max to get from
Vancouver to Gresham 2-3 days a week and as general transport the rest
of the week. A police report has been filed by mail with Gresham Police
so there’s no police report number yet.
