Red FUJI Folding-frame Marlboro promo ??

Buffered Bike Lane with a bike symbol and arrow pointing forward

Year: ??
Brand: FUJI
Model: Folding-frame Marlboro promo
Color:Red
Size:Medium
Photo: http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h239/pavedwalden/3n33k03m6ZZZZZZZZZ97o0ea7616b7f2b1d.jpg
Stolen in Portland, OR 97217
Stolen:2009-08-8
Stolen From: It was stolen on the Max, off of the hooks that you hang your bike from. My back was turned and someone from the rowdy group of black teenagers I had been trying to ignore grabbed it as they left the train. He pedaled off faster than I could run, and his half-dozen friends followed him down Whitaker Rd.
Neighborhood: Delta Park max stop.
Owner: Alex Rice
OwnerEmail: pavedwalden@gmail.com
Description: The most noticeable thing about it is the strange folding-frame design. Also, there’s a Marlboro logo on the head-tube.

It has no front fender, there is a chrome fender on the rear wheel that rattles loudly. There’s a Kryptonite lock-holder on the top tube that has worn the paint off of the frame where it slips around. (the photo is of the same model as my bike, but mine doesn’t have a water-bottle, and the photo lacks the shoddy fender I have on my back wheel.)
Police record with: Portland police department
Police reference#: They were supposed to give me a case number?

Stolen in Portland, OR

Owner: SaraMoss Gally
OwnerEmail: mossaroo@gmail.com
Description: When I last saw it it had a blue alpenrose basket on the back, and a worn out green pannier on the left of the back rack.
I had taken off the black foamy grips on the top left side and replaced it with a gross purple bandana. There are bits of brown bandana tied around the headset as well. I also had a bell with a pony on it, on the left hand side. There is a March 4th Marching band sticker on the seat part of the frame, as well as one of those Heart Oregon stickers.

Thousands flock to Park Blocks for a memorable Twilight

Racers zoom around NW 8th
and Flanders. (As seen from
10th floor roof of North Park Lofts.)

The Park Blocks were packed tonight for the Twilight Criterium. From the race course to the VIP area, from the beer garden to the handmade bike expo in the infield — spectators turned out in droves to absorb the spectacle of Portland’s only major downtown bike race of the year.

Organizers may have had some budget troubles a few months ago, but that seemed like a distant memory tonight (yet not too distant to forget to approach lawyer Ray Thomas to give him a hearty handshake and a thank you). The event had all the signs of success.

For the first time in five years, I left my camera and notebook at home. I shared the race with my three and six year old daughters. We cheered on our favorite racers (like the guy in the first race with the purple booties and of course all the racers wearing hot pink) and held our breath as they swooshed through the corners inches away from each other and the pavement.
