Tonight! Thursday August 22nd

Dirt Magic Film Screening & Panel – 6:00 pm at Evo Portland (SE)
Swing by Evo tonight to watch this new film that documents the transformation of Downieville, California from ghost town to cycling mecca. Panel will include advocates and insiders who helped make it happen. More info here.

Saturday, August 24th

Ochoco Gravel Roubaix – All day in Prineville (Eastern Oregon)
Get your gravel on at this big event based at Good Bicycle Co in Prineville. 80 and 45-mile fully-supported loop options and there’s a big street party afterward to help you recover. More info here.

Giro PDX – 9:00 am in Southwest Portland (333 SW Dakota Street)
In the grand tradition of the legendary De Ronde PDX and La Doyenne, this free and unsanctioned group ride promises epic climbs on oft-overlooked roads. Come prepared for 50+ miles and over 7,000 feet of elevation gain while you explore the most challenging and rewarded roads in Lake Oswego, West Linn, and beyond. More info here.

Roule Pie Ride – 9:00 am at Either/Or (N Williams Ave)
Head out to North Plains in Washington County for a slice of pie or two with the friendly folks from The Club Roule. Short or long ride option. More info here.

Trolley Trail Festival – 11:00 am in Historic Downtown Oak Grove
Roll south and discover the gem that is the Trolley Trolley. Take it to Oak Grove where you’ll be welcome with open arms to a street party full of fun, food, vendors, and local charm. A perfect excuse for a great ride! More info here.

CX Season Kickoff / Trophy Cup Registration Party – 4:30 pm at Breadwinner Cycles/Cafe (N)
Cross season is just a few barriers away. Kick it off in style at this gathering on North Williams Avenue where you’ll be able to register for the Trophy Cup weekday race series and re-connect with friends and race-day rivals. More info here.

Sunday Parkways Green Loop/Downtown – 11:00 am to 4:00 pm
This special edition of Sunday Parkways will help us envision what our central city should always be: A place where people can safely connect and move around while enjoying the journey as much as the destination. More info here.

Bike with Bill Walton – 2:00 pm at Memorial Coliseum Commons
The Portland Trail Blazers will prime their 50th anniversary season with this homage to their 1977 NBA championship team. None other than the big man himself, Bill Walton, will recreate his old bike route as he leads a ride from Rose Quarter to Terry Schrunk Plaza. More info here.
