Job Description
We are hiring for a full-time mechanic in our service department with prior bike shop experience. We are Portland’s first and largest bicycle shop devoted entirely to bicycles as primary transportation. This position requires previous training or employment in the bicycle industry. You must be willing to learn to work efficiently on the latest city, ebikes, folding, and cargo & family bicycle technology. Our shop does not focus on sport & recreation, but instead on A to B basics like internal hub gearing, dynamo lighting, electric assist, and child seats on bicycles made of metal.
Depth of experience and knowledge of shop specialties will affect compensation, but we will consider all proficiency levels if you exhibit excellent work habits, readiness to learn, customer service and communication skills.
All candidates must be outgoing, with excellent customer service skills and attention to detail. You must be willing to work weekends. Compensation includes a competitive wage, sick pay, paid time off, and health insurance.
