Industry Sales Rep Garage Sale – 10:00 am to 6:00 pm at Velo Cult (1969 NE 42nd Ave)
Sales reps always carry around tons of product samples to give dealers, the media, and so on. Every once in a while they need to off-load samples to make room for new ones and increase cash flow. Saturday, November 7th
Showers Pass Warehouse Sale – 9:00 am to 12:00 pm across street from Showers Pass HQ (2101 SE 6th Ave)

Tilikum to Terwilliger Tour – 9:45 am to 12:00 pm at PCC CLIMB Center (1626 SE Water Ave)
Led by the City of Portland’s Bureau of Transportation, this 10-mile ride will help you learn how to connect from the new Tilikum Bridge up to the southwest hills. Pace will be easy with plenty of stops along the way on a route that will include low-traffic streets and off-street paths. More info here.

Women’s “No-Drop” MTB Ride – 10:00 am to 1:00 pm
Head to the Syncline trail with a ride led by the Northwest Trail Alliance. Join other women riders for an 8-mile loop that has 1,500 feet of “intermediate” climbing and a super-fun downhill (bring knee/elbow pads if you have them). More info here

Volunteer Work Party for World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims – 10:00 am at Oregon Walks/Community Cycling Center Office (1805 NE 2nd Ave)
Join Families for Safe Streets, the Bicycle Transportation Alliance, and Oregon Walks to create memorials for people who have lost their lives in traffic crashes. The plan is to cut out plastic silhouettes that will be placed at over 100 crash sites in time for World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims. More info here.
In Search Of… Spin and Social – 10:00 am at The Missing Link Bike Shop (4635 SE Woodstock)
Choose from either a 12 or 31 mile route and traverse from the Missing Link shop in southeast to the one in northeast (What? You didn’t know they had two locations?!). Expect a fun and social vibe and a prize giveaway. Ride is led by Bicycle Kitty. Bring snacks. More info here.
Sunday, November 8th
Cross Crusade Series Race #6 – All day at Barton Park (19009 SE Barton Park Rd in Boring)
The Crusade continues this weekend with its sixth stop. This time racers will challenge themselves to a course that winds through an active timber yard. Expect gravel sections, an epic run-up, a bit of tight trail, and lots of speed. More info here.
BikeLoud PDX General Meeting – 4:30 to 6:30 pm at Bike Farm (1810 NE 1st)
BikeLoud is Portland’s upstart, all-volunteer activist group. Come to their general meeting to learn more about them and get involved in bike advocacy. They’ll be strategizing about the Clinton greenway project, TriMet’s bike plan, the city’s Comprehensive Plan, and more. More info here

Since the Charge of the Light Brigade Halloween Ride was washed out on October 31st there is a Redux Ride tonight at 7pm https://www.facebook.com/events/836467743135692/
Just a heads up on buying those samples. They often are real samples and not ready for retail. So sometimes the seams won’t be taped on the jackets or the chamois will not be in the right place.
Just got back from the Castelli sale. Not as expensive as I anticipated.
