Description: Year 2009 black "Breezer Uptown 8" bike stolen during afternoon. Locked at bike rack (with a U-lock) at corner of 8th and Kelly, next to building entrance. Bike, lock and helmet were all gone when I arrived at 6 pm after work (last seen at 1 pm, securely locked). The bike looks like this: http://www.ecovelo.info/2009/09/20/road-test-breezer-uptown-8/
It’s a diamond-frame bike with an 8-speed internal gear hub, front dynamo with lights, and a full chaincase and rear rack. Also attached were a Wald folding wire basket (on the right side of the rack), a Pletscher folding kickstand, and a gray bar over the top of the top tube, for mounting a WeeRide kid’s seat. The rear brake was replaced with a rollerbrake. Handlebars, seatpost and brake levers are non-stock. The saddle was a black Velo Orange leather saddle, covered with a rain cover. The rear wheel was locked with a frame-mounted "O" lock (ABUS brand). There are several distinctive scratches, including a mark on the right seat tube from where the kids’ trailer attaches. I have the original receipt and many photos with the bike. This was my main form of transportation for 2 years.
