A taste of the Cross Crusade, “In convenient video form”

Cross Crusade #6 Astoria – Chapter 2 from Burk Webb on Vimeo.

Local racer and digital media pro Burk Webb is creating quite a following with his cyclocross videos. He has been sharing his work via the OBRA email list each week with the subject line of “(Race name) in convenient video form.”

Webb is a member of the Portland Velo riding club. He’s got a great knack for capturing the spirit of our local cross scene and the shooting/editing skills to match. After several folks emailed me his videos and I kept seeing them pop up on my Twitter and Facebook feeds, I finally watched his last two. They’re fantastic and I wanted to share them with you.

Here’s Webb’s video from Day 1 of the Astoria Halloween weekend races… equally as entertaining as his work from Day 2 (which is above):

Burk has been submitting his fine work to Filmed by Bike for years – always excellent to see this talent in action!

Burk does a great job of capturing cross – his videos are a great way to introduce cyclocross to non-cross racers. Both Burk and Dan Kaufman produce very complimentary types of videos with different perspectives and flavors. We’re lucky to have such great videographers in our community.
