Just want to say thanks to everyone who came out last night for the opening party of the Sprockettes-themed art and photo show at Breeze Block Gallery.

It was neat to see my photos in their full glory, set free from the confines of a computer screen. It was also an honor to share the space with artist Tiago DeJerk and photographer Sarah Eastman.

Several people that couldn’t make it have asked to see the photos I selected for the show. I put together a slideshow (watch/listen below) of them set to music (by the Buenos Aires band Tanghetto) recorded live from a Sprockettes performance in Davis, California back in July. And you can still check out the show at Breeze Block Gallery (NE 10th and Alberta) through the end of September.

Here is the slideshow (you can watch it on auto with sound by pressing “play” or use the right and left arrow keys on the player to go through them one-by-one):

The images are available for sale at the gallery for $40 a piece (includes frame). You can also contact me (jonathan[at]bikeportland[dot]org) if you are interested in purchasing 8 x 12″ prints ($30 each, printed by Pro Photo Lab in Northwest Portland). Thanks again for your support!

the music is from a band out of Buenos Aires called Tanghetto. I've added their link to the story above.
