GO Box is Portland’s reusable takeout container service. We are a small, mission-driven company that is working to reduce the number of single use disposable containers that pile up in landfills and pollute our oceans. Since 2011, we’ve eliminated the use of over 130,000 styrofoam, plastic and cardboard containers! We are also bike-powered and manage all of our operating logistics using a bicycle and speciality trailers.

That’s where YOU come in! GO Box looking for an energetic, detail-oriented and strong-legged Delivery Rider to manage deliveries and pickups of our reusable containers throughout downtown Portland and the Lloyd District.

The Delivery Rider will own a route on Wednesdays and Fridays. Routes may generally be done anytime between 10am – 4pm and take between 2-4 hours to accomplish.

Responsibilities:

Develop daily route based on provided list of vendors that need a delivery and/or corporate clients that need a pickup of GO Boxes
Accurately track quantity of GO Boxes delivered to or picked up from each location
Report delivery and pickup data at conclusion of route in GO Box admin system
Represent GO Box in a professional manner and treat vendors, corporate clients, customers, potential customers and other road users with respect
Experience and skills:

Committed to social change and excited to help do away with throw away!
Strong communication, organizational and time management skills a must
Reliable, detail-oriented and self-directed
Able to follow directions, work independently and has a good head for numbers
Knowledge and confident city cyclist who adheres to bicycle traffic laws
Must be at least 18 years old and have a state-issued ID
Compensation:

This is a 1099 contract position. The pay rate is $15/hour.
