Job: Lead Mechanic/Mobile Repair – SprocketFly

Job Title *
Lead Mechanic – Mobile Repair

Company/Organization *
SprocketFly

Job Description *
US: We are SprocketFly, a locally-owned company that delivers quality bike-repair service directly to our customers where they work and live. We pride ourselves on building fantastic relationships with our clients and spreading positive energy everywhere we go.

YOU: We are looking for a lead bike mechanic for regular work, including single bike tune-ups and 2- to 3-day repair events at our clients’ office locations. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is comfortable with working on all kinds of bikes, from cruisers to mountain to road bikes, vintage and modern. You must have an outgoing, can-do disposition and be willing to take responsibility and work directly with customers to meet their needs and educate them about their bike in a friendly, engaging way.

As lead mechanic, you will be compensated with a generous minimum salary and a share of the revenue from each event. Payment for events is proportional to the amount of service we deliver collectively as a team, and you’ll earn additional income as lead mechanic. Expect to work 3 or 4 10-hour days per week.

THE JOB: This is not your ordinary mechanic gig. Every repair is an adventure! You’ll be responsible for driving our mobile bike repair trailer–complete with all the tools and gear we need for a successful event—around Portland with your bike, within an 8-mile radius from our HQ (NE Sandy blvd. and 24th ave.)

Our typical gig is a 1-3 day tune-up event, where you will work on 5-15 bikes per day, often with 1 or 2 other mechanics (depending on the number of bikes) to make the work go smoothly.

Contact us to learn more, and visit http://www.sprocketfly.com to see the services we offer.

Cheers!

How to Apply *

We’d love to get to know you better. Please send an email to ben@sprocketfly.com with your resume and a short statement about why you would be a great fit as a lead bike mechanic.
