About Rolling Wrench:

Rolling Wrench is a bike-powered, 100% mobile bike shop serving Portland. We specialize in on-site maintenance and repairs at our customers’ homes, offices, or anywhere else that is convenient for them, rain or shine. Our friendly, personal touch makes all the difference, and our mechanics are passionate about bikes.

Overview of Position:

The bicycle mechanic will assist in the maintenance, repair and assembly of all types of bikes, travelling by bike to service locations. The mechanic works under the supervision of a manager. This is currently a part-time seasonal position with the potential to be a full-time, year-round position.

Primary Responsibilities:

Complete repairs in a professional and timely manner

Respond to requests from manager

Ensure that all necessary reporting is accurate, complete and timely

Qualifications:

One year minimum experience in professional bicycle repair setting

Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Adaptability – enthusiastically adapt to changes in the work environment

Dependability – follow instructions; respond to management direction; communicate frequently

Passion for bikes, efficiency and sustainability

Interpersonal skills – maintain confidentiality; demonstrate willingness to try new things

Requires hauling tools and parts by bike to service locations

Customer service skills – professional and friendly interaction with customers

Schedule and Compensation:

Position is P/T, hourly and seasonal for 2014 (April – October) with the potential to become F/T and year round. Flexible hours are required, schedule to be determined with manager

Compensation based on experience
