Pedal-powered B-Line helps downtown dry cleaner be more “Eco”

After celebrating a successful first year in business back in April, B-Line Sustainable Urban Delivery continues to help Portland businesses move their goods without burning fossil fuels.

According to an announcement made yesterday, B-Line has now teamed up with Eco Dry Cleaner to handle the majority of their downtown deliveries and customer pick-ups. The partnership means that Eco Dry Cleaner has replaced several of their delivery trucks with B-Lines cargo trikes (made by local builder Bill Stites) which can carry loads of up to 600 pounds.

Description: When i had my bike last, it had white bar tape and a black Vetta seat on it. The cable on the top tube was white The wheels were quick release 700cc with continental tires on them. The back tire was in poor condition and fraying around the valve so much that the tube was visible. I had black plastic toe clips on the pedals. The pedals were black with reflective orange plastic on the edges. The stem was painted black. On the top tube decal, the second ‘n’ in ‘Cannondale’ was scrached off on one side. I don’t recall all of the components that were on my bike, but i know some were Shimano.

Walk and Bike to School Day roundup

The streets were busy with kids and parents on bikes and on foot this morning as over 60 local schools took part in International Walk and Bike to School Day. From Sellwood to St. Johns, hundreds of people enjoyed a sunny, crisp morning to exercise their transportation options and get to school under their own power.

Come celebrate the one year anniversary of the United Bicycle Institute’s Expansion to Portland with a “Bike-by” lube and open house at their North Portland location.  The folks of UBI will be showing off their facilities and new frame building setup, and offering snacks and a free drive train cleaning and lube to visitors.  UBI is located at 3961 N.
