Bikes to Rwanda benefit ride

bikes to rwanda is planning a ride to vancouver, wa to raise awarness and maybe a little money to send bikes to rwandan coffee farmers.

plan on meeting at stumptown cafe in downtown portland (128 SW 3rd Ave) and riding to the fresh pot on n. mississippi (4001 N Mississippi Ave) and then up to the i-5 bridge.

we are planning on meeting with members of the vancouver bike club and continuing to the river maiden cafe for a benefit event.

Thanks all for coming up to Vancouver by bike…even with that horrible downpour today. And thanks to River Maiden Coffee for hosting it! And thanks 2x for Magpie Messengers for coming along too. it was well attended with 30+ folks.

There was a great idea of organizing a similar bridge crossing ride again into Vancouver along other coffee shops with the Rwanda ‘bicyclette de la livraison de café’. But without the rain this time.

Perhaps there could be a ‘move by bike’ bringing that day’s of Stumptown coffee by bike to these coffee shops – a great PR event and Pedal Palooza event!
