A couple weeks ago I met a kid at the bus stop with a very difficult situation. He had recently been in a bike accident with a car and when he came back to the scene his bike was stolen. A homeless guy felt sorry for him and gave him the bike he was riding. Now the back tire was flat and if he didn’t get to work in the morning he would be violating his probation. I said I could fix the flat on the spot for $10, but it was a huge hole so I said “why don’t we just trade bikes.”

I gave him mine and he gave me his. But then I started to think that maybe the homeless guy stole it because it is a fairly nice Specialized Crossroads. Although it did need some repairs, not just the flat tire. To verify that it is yours can you tell me the id number on the bike and/or where there is some significant scratching?

or go to epinions.com and type in “specialized crossroads” and include recent years to find if one of them matches yours. Then if you find the match send me the link. I’m pretty sure the bike here is the one you’re talking about. Please get back to me.
