Job Description
Velotech, Inc (home of BikeTiresDirect and Western Bikeworks) is one Portland’s fastest growing companies. We are seeking a Shipping and Logistics manager to oversee shipping and inventory management operations in our main warehouse located near PDX. This individual will manage a team of approximately ten individuals in a fast-paced dynamic environment. In addition to day-to-day management of shipping and inventory control operations, this individual will work with the management team to improve the efficiency and accuracy of operations using IT technology, warehouse organization, and resource allocation.

Candidate requirements:
- Shipping and/or warehouse management experience
- Personnel management experience including hiring and firing
- Comfortable with computers and learning new software
- Experience with UPS Worldship and Warehouse Management Systems desired
- Ability to work in a team environment, sharing responsibility
- Comfortable communicating with customers and employees via email, phone, or in person
- Detailed bicycle product knowledge strongly desired
- Be comfortable working on your feet for extended periods and working on ladders
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Warehouse environment is cool in winters and warm in summers.
