The Portland Parks and Recreation Department, the Office of Transportation and the Police Bureau have officially announced a community meeting to address, “increasing concerns about high speeds and close calls,” at Mt. Tabor Park.

The issue has been simmering since April and originated from concerned neighbors and the Mt. Tabor Foot Patrol. They’ve noticed a problem of speeding in the park, especially on Wednesdays when it is closed to cars and bicyclists and pedestrians share the hilly roads.
