Vanilla Bicycles unveils limited edition print

Buffered Bike Lane with a bike symbol and arrow pointing forward

[Art Nouveau, Vanilla-style.]

Back in November, I posted about a poster that Sacha White of Vanilla Bicycles was creating with local artist Dan Gillsdorf. Now that the print is finally done, I’ve been waiting for Sacha’s permission to publish more details. After first offering it to Vanilla owners, he has given me the green light to share it with you.

According to Sacha, the print was inspired by his affinity for the work of French artist Alphonse Mucha (1860-1939). Here’s more about the original work from Sacha:

“The image joins the elegance, beauty and striking color combinations of Mucha’s time with style and surroundings of our time. The subjects are my wife Caryn and our daughter Cybelle, riding on Caryn’s bike. This is a true depiction of how they travel, when it is just the two of them.”

This edition is limited to 150 signed, numbered prints. They cost $85 plus shipping (about $15) Checks can be sent to:
Vanilla Bicycles, 3450 SE Alder St. Portland, OR 97214.

For framing options, Sacha has set up a package deal with local artist and custom frame maker, Brett Jarolimek of artcraft1.

More details about the poster can be found on the Vanilla Bicycles website.
