Raleigh Bicycles (based in Kent, WA) will be shooting their 2007 catalog in and around Portland this weekend. The catalog is intended to be a “natural extension” of their ’06 edition which was set entirely in Seattle.

According to their marketing director Reed Pike, besides a visit to the Alpenrose Velodrome to photograph their Rush Hour model, official locations and subjects are still being worked out.

The catalog’s designers are considering photos and stories on everything from our cyclocross scene, our position as the #1 cycling city in the country, the Seattle-to-Portland ride, putting bikes on TriMet, Bridge Pedal, Forest Park, and the PDX Airport bike path and bike parking.

Raleigh plans to print 120,000 copies of the catalog and it will be distributed through roughly 2200 dealers nationwide.
