Catching up with the Zoobombers

Zoobomb
[You gotta love her committment.]

Yesterday I finally got around to checking out the Zoobomb crew. I’d just finished grooving with Mobile Mystery Dance Party and headed up the hill to Washington Park to see what they were up to.

I wasn’t on a mini-bike like last time, but it was fun just being up there (and you can still get going pretty fast on a Schwinn 3-speed!). They were hanging out, grilling burgers and having some good times.

They had just finished their big Zoobomb Century event where they see who can ride 100 miles downhill the fastest. The winner was this guy, he’s goes by the name Chopper. You could say he’s committed, just check out his tattoo (pictured below).

But the award for committment goes to this beautiful lady who, despite a broken leg and crutches, still managed to Zoobomb with style.

I only did one run, but it was a great chance to see Zoobombers ride in the daylight (they usually ride at night) and snap some fun photos.

Long live Zoobomb.
