Portlander Wayne Naillon has gone missing and his friends and family are very worried for his safety.

Naillon, who just turned 66 years old last week, is an active advocate for bicycling. He is a regular volunteer at events like Sunday Parkways, he has held a position for the Portland Bureau of Transportation, and he is a BikePortland subscriber. He has done most of his advocacy work for off-road cycling as a volunteer for the Northwest Trail Alliance. In 2007 he was nominated for an Alice B Toeclips Award by the Bicycle Transportation Alliance.

According to his niece Carmen Naillon, Wayne hasn’t reported to work for over a month and it has been two weeks since he has been seen or heard from.

Wayne currently works in downtown Portland in Multnomah County’s Health and Addiction Services Division. His niece tells us he had recently been scaling back his workload and had been on leave due to health concerns. Wayne drives a Honda CRV and lives in the Lloyd District.

We are still finding out details, but so far we know that he was last seen on April 24th.

If you have any information about Wayne, please email (jonathan@bikeportland) or text me at 503-706-8804 and I’ll connect you with his family.

The Portland Police Bureau’s Missing Persons Unit is asking for the public’s help to locate a 66-year-old man missing since late-April 2016.

Wayne Taylor Naillon was reported missing on May 6, 2016, but was last seen on approximately April 25. Detectives have learned that Naillon is suffering from a serious medical condition that may have led to him dropping out of contact with friends and family.

Naillon is described as a white male, 6’0″ tall, 230 pounds, brown hair, and brown eyes.

Naillon is believed to be driving a green 1997 Honda CRV with Oregon licence plates FYWA.

Anyone seeing Naillon or the vehicle is asked to call 9-1-1 so police officers can check his welfare. Anyone with non-emergency information should contact Detective Heidi Helwig at 503-823-0797, heidi.helwig@portlandoregon.gov.
