To keep the bicycling momentum going strong in Vancouver, the Bicycle Alliance of Washington and Bike Clark County are hosting a half-day workshop tomorrow (6/21, sorry for the late notice!) called, Hub and Spoke: Growing Bicycling in Vancouver.
Here’s more about what’s in store for the event:
“In this interactive workshop, attendees will examine models from around the state and nationally, discuss opportunities to promote safety and economic development locally, and develop tools for engaging with local and state governments to make riding a bike easier in their community. We’ll also take a short bike tour, so be sure to bring your bike!
Anyone interested in creating a safer and healthier community for cycling is invited to attend this interactive workshop which will examine state and national models and issues affecting cycling, provide tools to advocate for projects and programs on the local level, and information on the growing Complete Streets movement.”
The event is free but they would like an RSVP which you can do online. The event will take place on the 6th floor of the Public Service Center at 1300 Franklin Street in Vancouver.
Following the workshop there will be a social hour hosted by Niche Wine Bar (1013 Main Street). The social hour will be a great time to get your questions answered by state and local advocates.
