Artcrank, the “poster party for bike people,” is coming to Portland for the third consecutive year and the big opening night shindig is this Thursday (10/6)!

Artcrank was a huge hit last year and organizers have added an extra day to handle the demand.

It’s free to get in and limited edition copies of the posters can be had for $40 each. I picked up three very cool posters last year that are still hanging on my living room wall. Proceeds from the event benefit Bikes to Rwanda, a local non-profit that turns cargo bikes into a tool of empowerment for African coffee farmers.

34 local artists are part of the 2011 show. The show opens Thursday at The Cleaners at The Ace Hotel (403 SW 10th) from 5:00 to 11:00 pm. If you can’t make it Thursday night, roll over on Saturday between 3:00 and 10:00 pm.
