Lake Oswego police have made progress in the burglary that hit Lakeside Bicycles last week.
According to the Oregonian, police have recovered two of the six high-end bikes (valued at over $16,000) and they’re questioning two suspects in the case:
The Bartons (the suspects) are thought to be homeless, maybe staying with friends, and have been spotted in Portland, Gladstone, Milwaukie, Lake Oswego and Beaverton. They may have used the bikes as barter for rent.
Thankfully, the two bikes recovered were the two most valuable, including one that shop owner Gordon Harber said was “irreplaceable”.
The police are offering a $500 reward for information that leads them to the remaining bikes. Keep your eyes out for them:
- Silver Specialized StumpJumper FSR 29er (SN-M8CK04033)
- 49cm Team color Bianchi Cross Concept Scandium (SN-H5A30199)
- Grey/Black Damaged Trek Series 4
- 55cm Gold Bianchi Volpe (SN-HR04782)
Anyone with information should call the Lake Oswego Police Department at (503) 635-0238.
