Filmmaker Dan Kaufman visited injured Zoobomber Reverend Phil in the hospital last night.

Rev Phil suffered a “spiral fracture” of two bones in his leg after crashing on Sunday’s Zoobomb run. Kaufman has posted the video interview on his website.

When asked about the alleged ice-throwing that led to his crash, Rev Phil said,

“People who are actively throwing ice and debris in the path of people who are traveling 35-40mph on a kid’s bike…that’s going to have consequences. I want everyone to remain calm and recognize that retaliation is not necessarily what we want right now.”

Doctors have performed surgery on Rev Phil’s leg and have inserted metal plates to assist healing. He will be on crutches for six weeks.

Rev Phil’s “Kickass Biking” movie night is still scheduled for tomorrow night (8/23), 7PM at Free Geek. This is a repeat of a popular show and organizers will be accepting donations to help with Rev’s hospital bills and recovery.
