BikeLoud PDX

Job Description

BikeLoud PDX (bikeloudpdx.org) seeks to contract a Program Manager for its Bike Buddy program, funded by the City of Portland’s Portland Clean Energy Fund (PCEF). The goal of this program is to reduce carbon emissions in Portland by encouraging people to substitute bike trips for car trips, with a particular focus on communities that have been historically excluded from climate programs . The program intends to accomplish this by (1) providing one-on-one mentoring between BikeLoud volunteer mentors and new bike rider mentees and (2) subsidizing the cost of bicycle maintenance and supplies for low-income Portlanders. The Bike Buddy program aims to reach 100 mentor-mentee meetings per year over the grant period of three years.

The successful Bike Buddy Program Manager will organize and operate the Bike Buddy program with limited supervision from BikeLoud and will independently apply their professional skills, knowledge, and judgment to achieve the Bike Buddy program goals.

This is a 3-year program. The contract is expected to be for 20 hours per week, starting around January 1, 2025. No federal, state or local benefits are included. The proposed pay is $50 per hour.
