Job Description
The Lumberyard bike park is looking for a year round lead person to run our retail space and primary bike shop mechanic with prior bike shop experience. The candidate should have a deep love for bicycles with a focus on dirt jumpers, mountain bikes and BMX bikes. The Lumberyard is open every day from 9 am until 10 pm with the exception of Christmas day so a flexible schedule is a must.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Order and maintain stock levels for the retail area.
Track sales to determine what is and is not selling and order accordingly.
Responsibility for SBS, QBP, and other distributor ordering to fulfill non sponsor supplied merchandise.
Professionally greet and assist customers and guests.
Create and maintain service records for our fleet of rental and demo bikes.
Perform scheduled maintenance on demo and rental fleet.
Order and track parts to keep the fleet up and running.
Performs minor adjustments to guest’s bikes as necessary.
Create and maintain service logs for outside repairs.
Perform necessary service and repairs to customer’s bikes.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma required
2 years experience in a retail bike shop environment preferred
Shimano S-tec brake and drivetrain modules a must.

JOB CONDITIONS:
Work is performed in our Portland, Oregon facility. The position requires extensive computer use and the ability to quickly switch between bike shop tasks and customer service.

Pay is dependent on experience. We also offer a commission program for qualified candidates.
