8th annual BikeCraft set for December 1-2

BikeCraft V-61
You never know what you’ll
find at BikeCraft.

Mark your calendars and save prep your budget, because the eighth annual BikeCraft holiday gift fair is right around the corner. This year’s event is set for December 1st and 2nd at the fantastic Sandbox Studios in northeast Portland (420 NE 9th).

BikeCraft has come a long way since that snowy night in December 2005 when we all packed into a coffee shop to share our love of bicycles and our appreciation of handmade, local goods. This event has now become a Portland tradition, and each year I’m even more impressed with the quality of items and the size of the crowds that show up.

The 2012 show is already shaping up quite nicely. Our friends that now own and organize the event, Amos Hunter and Aaron Kaffen, have unearthed promising new vendors as well as brought back some perennial favorites. The preliminary vendor list shows 34 awesome artisans ready to help you get all your holiday gift shopping done in one place (and we won’t tell if you buy stuff for yourself too!).

If you’re a maker of bike-themed, handmade arts, crafts, fashions, or other goods, contact BikeCraft about getting a spot in the show. If you or anyone on your list is a lover of bicycles, mark December 1-2 on your calendar. BikeCraft is more than a place to shop, it’s an event where we all get together to enjoy company, food, drinks, and holiday cheer.

Stay tuned for more coverage of vendors and other news. For the full lowdown, check out BikeCraftPDX.com.
