Sure it might be hailing, raining and thunder-storming, but it’s still the weekend! And oh what a weekend it will be.
Besides the 40 or so (yes 40!) events on the Pedalpalooza calendar (my girls are signed up for Sprockettes Camp!), there’s a lot of other stuff going on.
Tonight Bike n Hike is hosting a big benefit party for the renovations being done out at the Alpenrose Velodrome. Head over to 400 SE Grand starting at 7pm for a big raffle, lots of Hopworks beer, Goldsprints, and plenty of awesome people.
After that party, why not keep the fun going and do the Midnight Mystery Ride? It leaves from St. Johns and it’s sure to be memorable.
Tomorrow (Saturday), Portland’s indoor mountain bike park The Lumberyard is having their launch party. Go and help Will, Holly, Michael and the entire crew celebrate their exciting new business.
Speaking of mountain biking… It’s a huge weekend for the Sandy Ridge Trail System (SRTS). Saturday is National Get Outdoors day and SRTS is celebrating with the unveiling of a brand new trail. Check out more details on the Northwest Trail Alliance website.
If you’re willing to head a little further east (where it’s likely to be dry), take a trip to the new off-road riding area of Cascade Locks. Tomorrow the NW Trail Alliance is hosting a trail work party and a family camp-out. Our friend Dabby is designing the new pump track out there and he’d love to have some help! More details here.
What do you have planned for the weekend? Whatever it is, I hope it’s fun. Feel free to use the comments to promote your events, share your adventures, and sound off on anything that’s on your mind.
