Here’s the latest update on ODOT’s Oregon City/West Linn Bridge project

ODOT has released a survey to find out if shuttle users want them to add a later night service on Saturday and Sunday. ODOT has been operating a shuttle for bikers and walkers since construction began.

Here’s more from ODOT rep Susan Hanson:

“We are trying to decide if there is sufficient need to add later night service on Saturday and Sunday between 8 -11 p.m.

Background: We added later evening service Monday-Friday between 9-11 p.m. Recently we have been getting requests to add similar service on Saturday and Sunday evening. The decision will be made on the basis of how many people need it and what the cost of the service is.

The shuttle service has been a big success. We have carried over 30,000 pedestrians and bicyclists in the 11 months the service has operated. We have added to the service twice since it started due to the demand.”

5,425 people with bicycles have used the shuttle in the past 45 weeks. “The average number of pedestrians riding each weekday is currently 113 and the daily average for bicyclists is 18,” according to ODOT.
